Head Chef Danny Riewoldt has created an inpressive menu which combines hand picked ingredients, absolute freshness and a pinch of genius. The menus change frequently according to the season with dishes such as tiramisu of atlantic lobster in a cauliflower and vanilla salad with a mascarpone and chilli ice cream or grilled tuna with asian vegetables being among the favourites as well as a superb bouillabaisse. The fresh fish is incredible- the sea bass and dorada come highly recommended. There is plenty on offer for vegetarians with offerings such as chestnut risotto served with a raisin and vegetable strudel. Desserts are imaginative and original and certainly round off a meal at the Au Quai restaurant in style - the trilogy of spices is top of the list which offers three desserts in one – mumbai ice cream, papaya crème brulée with ginger and vanilla and chocolate tarte with chilli and cinammon.
