Gourmetrestaurant, located in the aptly named Romantik Hotel Pattis, is a refined and sophisticated restaurant where traditional Saxon cuisine has been brought right up to date. The Gourmetrestaurant is overseen by hotel owner and head chef Mario Pattis who ensures the utmost of quality not only in the dishes produced but in every way. Each dish is served on traditional plates of Meissen porcelain and diners can choose to dine in private rooms if they so wish. Pattis, a very successful and renowned chef within Germany has recreated regional Saxon dishes to offer a modern menu with some international flavours thrown into the mix. Dishes include local veal with mild smoked potato mash and mushrooms with herbs on a sherry reduction and a sage jus, fillet of sole with oysters and rocket on a pine kernels risotto and a sherry reduction or supreme of venison and goose liver on a creamed mushroom and truffle ravioli served with celery and herb mash with an elderberry blossom sauce.
