The Café Kranzler is a classic establishment on the Kurfürstendamm with its red-and-white striped awning. In 1835 Austrian confectioner Johann Georg Kranzler opened the café, which over the course of history has been razed to the ground on several occasions. Today's incarnation dates back to 2000, but continues to fly the flag of coffee house culture. In the morning there is an extensive breakfast buffet, but the menu does offer meals for smaller appetites. Whatever happens, don't miss the delicious cakes and pastries.
