Dating back to 1895, the Leib und Seele Speiselokal und Hopfothek is a charming restaurant in Munich offering great regional cuisine as well as a smattering of international dishes. Considered the heart and soul of the Lehel district of Munich the Leib und Seele holds a privileged position close to the beautiful English Garden. Oozing Bavarian tradition, this lovely old building with its timber clad interior plays host to some excellent culinary preparation served by super friendly staff who are well informed when it comes to the food. Try some of the house specialties such as the various wursts (German sausages), weiner schnitzels or the oven roasted pork with crackling served with dumplings. The salads are amazing and combine some interesting ingredients that work so well – fried bacon with fried onions, mushrooms, feta cheese and a balsamic dressing being just one example. Leib und Seele are famous for their superb breakfasts where you can start the day with a New York, Italian or traditional Munich breakfast among others. With a capacity for up to 170 people, the Leeb und Seele restaurant is the perfect place for private events and in summer the beer garden is also available for hire.
